Looking out my window this morning, I’m watching the wind rustle the leaves to the ground. It’s fall. Typically, not my favorite season as the cold weather begins to set in. This year, Gratitude in Transition I’ve been struck by the sheer beauty of this season. It’s given me a determination to stop and take a moment to observe and appreciate the breathtaking beauty around me.
The much lower humidity in the Ohio Valley where I live is much appreciated and sets the stage for beautiful, clear sunsets that exude a deep, rich rainbow of color on the horizon. My daughter and I have enjoyed evening walks to try to soak it in as much as possible.
We traveled through the Great Smoky Mountains during a road trip. The display of color was a beauty to behold. Even from the sky as my plane descended on a recent flight, I noticed the splash of color that made the familiar more vibrant and enriching.
These wonderful experiences with nature have created within me an overwhelming sense of gratitude for the beauty around us and for another day to be able to witness it.
In those moments, the busyness of life and the challenges that come with these times of transition, don’t seem as daunting as before. Gratitude in Transition A renewed energy and hope to fuel my resilience to face another day.
